Reading and poetry are two words that teenagers don’t like to see together. Poetry is mostly a complicated reading for students. They either read the poem too fast or they just don’t care enough to actually read and understand it. At least that is the case with me, sometimes.
To help with reading poetry, you can start by casually reading it first. Then, read it another time and take some notes on it. And maybe, read it again and try to connect it to yourself. If there is a poem you really don’t like, just try to connect to the things you do like or yourself. After doing this, hopefully, it will get easier for you to read.
